The BYD SEALION 5 is powered by BYD’s advanced Super Hybrid DM technology. “DM,” or Dual Mode, allows the car to operate both as a hybrid—combining electric power and petrol—and as a fully electric vehicle, delivering up to 86 km of pure electric range with its dual Blade Batteries.

The intelligent control system (the “i” in DM‑i) maximises hybrid efficiency, achieving fuel consumption as low as 2.1 L/100 km. With a full charge and tank, the SEALION 5 Super Hybrid can travel up to 1,016 km.
